Program Officer (2018-current) & Interim Program Director (2026)

Provided senior leadership for a major performing arts portfolio, stewarding long-term investments that support artists, cultural organizations, and arts infrastructure across the Bay Area, guided by principles of equity, cultural self-determination, and measurable public benefit.

Authored and launched an updated strategy to strengthen support for artists, including expanded investment and new funding mechanisms designed to balance support for creative agency and economic well-being.

Designed and led complex, multi-year initiatives—including emergency response funding during the COVID-19 pandemic and participatory grantmaking processes—balancing transparency, equity, and accountability while coordinating with public agencies and philanthropic partners.

Oversaw program evaluation and learning, commissioning and leading assessments of intermediary partners, arts leadership in the Bay Area, and overall strategic impact; translated findings into policy-relevant insights and strategic course corrections.

Led a comprehensive refresh of the program’s strategic framework, managing multiple concurrent consultant engagements, community listening processes, portfolio analysis, and collaborative decision-making across internal and external stakeholders.

Contributed to high-profile, cross-departmental initiatives, including foundation-wide learning programs, pandemic relief efforts, and the allocation of $5.5M to organizations serving AAPI communities, in coordination with civic, philanthropic, and community partners.
